Irene Zissis teaches all lessons in the student's home as a convenience for busy parents. Lessons are given weekly for either 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes. Tuition is paid on a monthly basis by check, zelle quick pay or cash due at the first lesson of every month.

Irene is now offering Skype Video lessons due to Covid-19.

                                        30 minute lessons - $160

 

                                             45 minute lessons - $240

 

                                             60 minute lessons   $320

 

      The first lesson will be a free 30 minute trial lesson so Irene can learn about the student and what his or her goals are. If the student has had prior lessons, she will ask the student to play a few pieces to determine the student's level. Irene will then discuss the students objectives,  and develop a lesson plan. If the student is a beginner, the trial lesson will indicate what individual method will be used. A parent should be present during this time, Students will need a notebook for assignments and a pencil. Books and a metronome will be provided by the teacher, which the student must purchase. The teacher will also provide music and learning material free of charge.

       Irene will have at least 1 piano recital per year. Each student is expected 

to participate.

                                           MISSED LESSONS                       

                                        

 

 

         Monthly lessons are flat fees, and shall not be lowered or refunded for missed lessons. 24 hours notice is required to cancel a lesson. Make-up lessons may be rescheduled, but cannot be guaranteed if the teacher's  schedule doesn't allow. Teacher absences will be re-scheduled. If a lessons falls on the 5th week of a month, the additional charge for that lesson will be added to the monthly tuition. 

         There will be no lessons on the following holidays:

Christmas Eve 

Christmas Day

New Years Eve 

New Years Day 

 

                                  These lessons will be rescheduled.

 

 

                                     SUMMER LESSONS

 

           Continuing  the student's music education during the summer is crucial for progress and to maintain motivation. Understandably, there will be missed lessons due to vacations and summer activites.  Tuition is based on 12 monthly pqyments for the year. If the student will miss more than 2 weeks during the Dec./Jan. holidays or more than 2 weeks  in the summer, please contact Irene in advance. Students who do not purchase a minimum of 6 summer lessons will not be guaranteed their place in the fall schedule.
